Renzo van Steenbergen, nomad, born in The Netherlands, with degrees in Sound and Image and ArtScience, immigrated to Tallinn at the age of 31 after living and working in The Hague as an autonomous allround artist working in the fields of installation art, music and composition, film, live-cinema and contemporary dance and theatre since 2001.
Since then, he has continued making installation, audio visual performances and composed music and made sound designs for various theatre productions and directors in Estonia as well as working as a theatre maker himself and of course making music just for the sake of making music in his studio and on the move.
His work is concerned with issues of energy, density, complexity, movement, simultaneity and violent beauty, and he often works extensively with space as a primary compositional parameter. He believes that sound does not exist in time but rather creates it.
